A wafer-thin East Indian bread made with LENTIL flour. This Tortlla like bread can be unseasoned ( as preferred in southern India) or variously flavored with red or Black pepper, garlic or other seasonings, as in Northern India. Pappadums are available various sizes and flavours. Deep fried Pappadams puff up to almost double their original size. Grilling them over an open flame will give them a traditional smoky flavour.
Pappadums are ideal as a starter, a snack on their own with chutney and pickles, or as a meal accompaniment. Shakti manufactures different sizes and tastes such as hot, very hot, lime, salted, mixed spices and garlic. All Shakti Pappadum's ingredients are fresh and natural. The finished product is low in calorific value, and of course is suitable for vegetarians.
