Founded in May 1995, Shakti Pappadum is a young creative and innovative food company rapidly gaining a reputation for delivering fine tasting, quality and imaginative food products.

Since inception the company has continuall invested in new, hi-tech and specialised production equipment and using authentic ingredients with traditional culinary skills their talented staff produce pappadum and other Indian food products which are unrivalled in the UK marketplace.

Today the company is the market leader in locally produced pappadum for both the Ethnic and Western Market.


Our Founders -

Brothers Nilesh and Pankaj started manufacturing in 1995 with the company vision of supplying only the finest quality pappadum. Their vision and drive has carried through to this day and has been responsible for the growth of this highly successful business.


Quality -

After its creation in 1995 the Shakti brand has rapidly become recognised as the UK's leading manufacturer and although our pappadums are supplied in large quantities, we do not compromise our quality, flavour and freshness.


Shakti Pappadum has captured the American market and has been supplying North America for the last seven months. This was mainly achieved on the merit of Quality of our Pappadums and delivery commitments. Our customers continuously monitor us and we are pleased to say we have excellent performance.


Shakti Pappadum has set up Distribution Networks in the United Kingdom and the USA to enable Shakti to maintain its full capacity and meet the demand of our quality product and services. This allows the management team to focus on efficient manufacturing and developments of new products and effective distribution logistics, in order to meet the customers' demand

How are Pappadums cooked ?
Deep Fry - Heat oil in a large deep pan or wok (200 C). To test oil, gently drop a piece of Papad in the oil, if it starts to expand and bubble immediately the oil is hot enough. Gently drop Papad one at a time, holding under the oil with tongs. Take out the Papad within 3 seconds (Papad turns an even golden crips). Place the Papad upright on a serviette to drain excess of oil and serve....
